Description

There are few things better than taking your RV for a camping trip during the hot summer months. But summer, being what it is, can mean a bit too much heat beating down on you at times. The heat of summer or a hot climate can get to be a bit too much, even if you are camping in a shaded area. When the heat gets intense, many people try to cool down by turning on a fan or cracking open a window, but a fan and a window can only do so much to cool things down. When you want a relaxing area that you can keep consistently cool, you need an RV air conditioner. If you require an RV air conditioner that can function off of a 12v power supply, then RecPro is where you want to look.

Our RecPro 12v RV air conditioner is a direct wire unit, but what does that mean for you? It means our AC unit can offer excellent performance and energy efficiency ratings and give you the comfort you deserve.

Superior Performance, Better Efficiency

Our RecPro 12v RV air conditioner directly wires into a 12V system. DO NOT connect this unit to a 110V system. Doing so will fry the unit, rendering it useless and voiding the warranty. Once this AC unit is connected to the 12V system, it offers a maximum current of 100 Amps with a wattage ranging from 950W to 1100W. This wattage range is dependent on the ambient temperature in the area you are camping. This is a non-ducted type of AC unit. What does this mean? It means that the AC unit will produce the air on the inner side of the unit instead of producing a gentler stream that would flow throughout a ducted system. Essentially, all of the cool air will come out of one place, helping you feel way more comfortable. This unit can only cool the air down and does not include any heating or warming functionality. Our RecPro 12v RV Air Conditioner can last you for many years and many trips when appropriately installed. This unit is great for RVs, campers, vans, trailers, small homes, and more.

Less Noise and More Comfort

Many times when an RVer goes to use their AC unit, they find that the comfort of cool air comes at the cost of loud noise. No one should have to decide between being comfortable and hearing so much noise that it is hard to think or speak. Noise level is not always the deciding factor in choosing an AC unit, but it can have a pretty significant impact. At a decibel level of only 65 db, our RecPro 12v RV Air Conditioner is nice and quiet to help you relax. It is about as quiet as a typical, casual conversation.

A few other features on this AC unit further add to the convenience and comfort that it offers you. First is a removable filter screen. This screen can be easily removed, cleaned, and re-inserted, so you will not need to get new filters constantly. This removable filter makes it easy to keep the air clean and fresh. Our RV AC unit integrates a soft start inverter-driven compressor, allowing a smooth increase to full speed. You won't have to be concerned with your lights flickering when you use the air conditioner and can have peace of mind knowing that your AC unit can come up to the ambient temperature. This also helps extend the AC units' life even further. Once the air conditioner is suitably warmed up to ambient temperature, it should then be capable of cooling the air temperature in a range of about 17 to 24 degrees Fahrenheit. If you are camping in a location with extreme heat, you can assist your AC unit by following our tips below.

Robust, Durable, and Lightweight

The chassis of our RV air conditioner unit is built with a robust aluminum metal with an included ABS UV-resistant cover. Made in America, Our AC is robust enough to stand up to the rigors of the road. It can be installed in a standard 14" by 14" opening. It is recommended to install the unit on a completely flat roof. You should ensure that you make a tight seal between the air conditioner unit and the roof it is installed on. An improper, leaky seal can lead to performance issues down the road, which can be a pain to address and fix. If you choose to install this unit on a roof that is NOT flat, you may need to install a frame and a sealant for any gaps. Any modifications to the AC unit itself will void the warranty.

On the unit's interior is a single-wheel large-diameter spal blower motor with integrated dual spal 12" puller fans. The performance and durability of the evaporator and condenser coils are strengthened with copper tubing as well as corrugated aluminum fins. There are also safety measures in place concerning the electrical components of the AC unit in the form of safety switches, which protect the compressor from premature failure.

This model is a perfect choice if you want a 12v RV Air Conditioner that combines efficiency with quality. From the well-designed internal system to the robust chassis and the plethora of convenient features, this AC unit from RecPro is perfect for your RVing needs. Have any questions?
