What size RV air conditioner do I need?

Most RVs use either a 13,500 BTU or 15,000 BTU unit. Smaller trailers or campers often use 9,500–13,500 BTU, while larger rigs or fifth wheels benefit from higher BTU units or dual A/C setups.

How many air conditioners can I install on my RV?

This depends on the size and electrical system of the RV. Smaller RVs typically support one unit, while longer trailers or fifth wheels often support two (sometimes three). Check your RV’s electrical rating and roof openings.

Do all RVs use the same roof opening size?

Most modern RV air conditioners are designed for a standard 14" x 14" roof opening, but it’s always best to confirm before purchasing.
