Dump valves are used within your black and gray water systems as a block between the tanks and the dumping hose. When not in use, they prevent any material from escaping the tank and when in use, they allow the material to enter the dump tube. This specific dump valve has two inlets and one outlet. The 3" inlet is to connect the black water tank and the 1 1/2" inlet is to connect the gray water tank. Because the outlets are shared, you don't have to worry about switching the hose from one tank to the other or using different dump tubes for each tank. There is also a cord between the waste cap and the unit to help prevent the cap from being lost. This dump valve is made of black ABS plastic and is made in America.
