Description
Keep the underside of your recreational vehicle protected from the elements and other items with the RecPro 1/8-Inch Extreme Duty Corrugated RV Underbelly Material. The underside of the RV has delicate components that need to be protected, yet some RV manufacturers don't provide adequate protection. Adding this corrugated underbelly material also can protect the flooring inside the RV, as it covers up any issues coming through the frame underneath and affecting the flooring. This corrugated material is temperature resistant and water resistant with woven mesh support and insulated properties. It’s tough enough to resist tearing too, giving you long lasting performance that will continue to look great well into the future. It works equally well to make repairs to your existing underbelly material, as well as for doing a complete replacement of the material. Beyond keeping dust and weather away from the underside of your RV, our underbelly protective material stops rodents and other pests while you're at your campsite.

I am using 1in. by 1/8 strap metal and self tapping screws to sandwich the underbelly to the frame all along the frame front to back and sides . I did this once before on my last trailer it was starting to come loose. Factory had used self taping screws and a washer which didn't last long. I also ran a couple of small channel metal from side to side so it would hold the underbelly from sagging. Good luck

Basically, you need a utility knife, a measuring tape, a drill , different types of self steel screws, Gorilla tape. a chalk line, a few spruce or cedar 2X4's to run next to your water tanks and a lot of patience. Oh yes a lot of patience and a good helper. This is a very good product.

The product I received doesn't have the foil insulation glued to the back of the protective corrugated material. Is only the corrugated material.
-
No. I split a 3 1/2" roll of fiberglass insul and spray glued it to the foil bubble insul. I installed that, then installed the belly. A little spray foam for the penetrations and it is way better that factory!
-
no it is to thick. it is the material under the bottom of the rv
-
I would certainly use it. I put it under my 5th wheel trailer and I am confident it will be there for a long time.

This is the same stuff that is put on the under belly from factory. Use self tapping screws with fender washers which are large dia. washer with smaller hole. If you go to Menards or Home Depot they have expandable foam that is black. I think it is for stone in fish tanks, you can use that around the edges to seal up and help adhere . Think about which way the wind is going when doing your overlap so the wind goes over and doesn't hook edge.
