Keeping your RV clean is an important part of keeping yourself comfortable and feeling at home in your rig. The inside of your RV is like your second home and should be treated with the same care you use in a residential home. And in a smaller space, it becomes even more important to not let it fall into chaos. But what do you use to clean it? You don’t want to have a huge basket of various cleaning products that only work half of the time. Instead, you want RV cleaning supplies that work in multiple places and work well. With RecPro’s line of effective cleaning products, you get just that.
Tips for cleaning your RV interior
Here are some tips for when you’re getting ready to clean up your rig!
Tip 1: Start from the top. Start your cleaning tasks at the top of your rig. Wipe down the ceiling and the tops of cupboards. Clean your air conditioner filter and check whether it needs to be replaced. While you’re up towards the top of your RV interior, look for signs of wear and tear, including discoloration, sagging, and tears. You should also check for any signs of water damage and make a note to address this concern as soon as possible. Once you’re done with the top of your RV interior, move a little down to the curtains, cabinets, and other things around eye level. Then, continue to move down until you’re at the floor. This helps to make sure that any dirt or dust you move about by cleaning can be cleaned up later and you’re not reversing tasks that you’ve already done (like having to sweep twice if you dust after sweeping).
Tip 2: When cleaning walls, windows, and cabinets, check along the edges where dirt and dust tend to accumulate. Clean these areas with a cleaner or a vacuum. Take out any bedding, cushions, curtains, or other soft items and give them a good shake. If needed, you can wash them as well. Once you’re done cleaning, you can place a box of baking soda in cabinets, closets, and other small spaces to prevent odors from occuring while in storage. Make note of any supplies you’re short on when cleaning places such as the bathroom or kitchen. And for those areas that can’t be cleaned with a cleaner or vacuum, don’t forget that you still have the option of dusting them.
Tip 3: When cleaning out the kitchen, make sure to remove any expired or stale food. Check for any signs of insects or animals as well. If you see any signs at all, it will need to be addressed before heading out again. Pay attention to the areas where you prepare food, such as the back of the stove, the microwave, and the countertop, as these areas can become especially dirty and sticky.
Tip 4: Cut the workload into chunks. It can seem overwhelming to try and clean the whole RV interior at once. So, instead, break it into smaller chunks. For example, break it down into rooms. Complete one chunk, then move onto the next one. This way, it makes the work more manageable.
