The pump box is built out of T-316L stainless steel, which is a steel alloy that is naturally resistant to rusting and the corrosive effects of salt water. The natural corrosion and rust resistance of this steel material is enhanced further as it is electropolished and passivated. And, to top it off and take the durability of this pump box even further, it is also given a black powder coating.

A ¾” thick solid acrylic panel acts as the lid of this sea chest. The acrylic lid is equipped with a neoprene gasket to prevent water leakage and held securely in place by a series of tapped holes, bolts, and washers. This sea chest features four 1 ¼” outlets, two 1” outlets, one 1 ¾” saltwater washdown outlet, one 1 ¾” inlet, and one ¾” vent outlet.
