Keeping with the high quality, our chairs are made with high-grade metal. This metal is free of most impurities that can lead to failure throughout the piece's lifetime. With fewer impurities, our frames are made to last longer. Many OEMs use lesser graded metals that can lead to weaknesses and failure. We wanted a frame that not only stood up to weight, but stood up to time. We stress tested our frames to find the best possible frame for a captain’s chair.

The pedestals come in 3 height options, 5.5” tall, 7” tall, and 10” tall. The base plate is also made of high-grade metal, as are the adjustment levers which have a plastic hand for comfortable grip. With our base plates you are able to adjust the forward and backward placement of the chair as well as swivel the chair for easy egress at the end of a day of driving. The base plate bolt spacing for the chair side is 8” wide by 11 ½” deep. The bolt pattern for bolting to the floor is 7” by 7”.

The measurements for this seat are best seen in the accompanying graphics we provided. But our captain’s chairs are designed to easily fit through a 22” door opening. The cushion is 8” thick, which provides a soft and comfortable ride for any length of road travel. The armrests rise and lower to provide easy access to your seat.
