Many other TPMS systems use internal sensors to monitor tire pressure and temperature, which requires you to tear down your tire in order to install the sensors. This TPMS system uses cap sensors, keeping things simple and easy. This kit comes with two cap sensors allowing you to monitor two tires. However, this system is capable of monitoring up to 22 individual tires with additional sensors. Additional sensors are not included. An Apple and Android compatible app lets you use your phone to monitor your tires, so you do not need to deal with installing a monitor on your dash. Sensors
This Tire Pressure Monitoring System comes with two cap sensors that monitor and transmit information on your tires. These cap sensors act much like valve stem caps, twisting onto the valve stem of your tire. With these cap sensors, you get a pressure range of 0 to 184 PSI, a temperature range of -4°° to 185°°, and operate on a frequency of 2.4GHz. These cap sensors are powered by CR1632 batteries, giving you up to a year of battery life with typical use. To further save on battery power, these cap sensors only transmit data when the vehicle is going over 20mph. These sensors are even kept safe from theft thanks to the two included anti-theft devices and lock nuts.
