With solid dark-colored awnings, the fabric would soak up the heat and warm up your cool shade and with solid light-colored awnings, the fabric would reflect the sun, hurting your eyes. The sun cover comes complete and ready to install with beading installed and strictly hemmed edges, ready to give you hours of shade and enjoyment. When the package arrives, make sure to spread out the fabric on a flat surface before installation. The measurements of the awning are 21' 1" wide, 8' long, and 1/16" thick. From the bottom of the valance to the first bead is 7 1/2" and from the bottom of the valance to the second bead is 11", with a distance of 3 1/2"-5" between the beads.
