Description
RV electronics can be tricky. With our selection of RV electrical equipment and accessories, however, you can have a little more clarity. Whether you're searching for an extension cord, an outlet box, or a connector, you can find it here.
Many times, electricity works as it should. Sometimes, though, it ends up being an issue that has to be fixed. At the campground, RV plug burn can cause you to fix a problem in the middle of your vacation. Knowing what you'll need to fix a problem like this can help save your trip, helping you get back on your feet and enjoying the great outdoors.
RV plug burn occurs when the current increases between the shore power receptacle and your shore power plug. With older campground shore power receptacles, the connections can get worn, damaged, or otherwise imperfect. This can create a lack of proper connection when you plug in your shore power plug. Due to the lack of proper connection, the voltage drops, causing the current to increase. This increase in current heats up the connection, damaging the pins and even melting the cover around the plug itself. Once the plug is damaged in this way, there's not much to do other than replace it. While you need to replace the plug end, you don't necessarily need to replace the whole cord, as the rest of the length could be just fine. And that's where this plug replacement comes into the picture.
This RV Power Replacement Plug is for a 30AMP plug, replacing a damaged plug on an extension cord, connection, or other electrical cord. It is rated for 125V and 60Hz.
