Fun Fall Activities Made Better in Your RV - Part II
In part one of this short blog series, we outlined several autumn activities that become even better when you’re able to take your rig out on the road and make the most of the season. Really, we could make an entire series on the fun things you can do this fall. But, we’ll finish up with a few more ideas in this article, so you can be ready to make the most of the season from your RV, no matter what.
Take in a Game
Most people associate fall and football pretty easily together. But, the tailgating aspect of attending a football game becomes even more important, and even better when you’ve got a sweet RV to host your next party!
You don’t even necessarily have to have tickets to the game to create a ‘game day’ experience for you and your friends. Turn your rig into the ultimate tailgating getaway when you utilize the kitchen, the extra space, and the storage capabilities of your RV. Plus, your friends will love being able to use your bathroom so they won’t have to go looking around the parking lot for something less than appealing.
Map Out a Pumpkin Patch Tour
There’s no question that this country has plenty of pumpkin patches and corn mazes to visit. It seems like each community has their favorite farms that come alive this time of year with the sights, sounds, and smells of autumn.
Some of these pumpkin patches are more famous than others throughout the country, so why not do a little research and map out a ‘tour’ of seasonal farms you’d like to visit? It can be a quick weekend road trip, or a drawn-out way to really dive into autumn with full force. Most of these farms offer so much more than just pumpkin sales. Look for places that offer activities and events, like cider pressing, haunted tours, and more. Don’t forget to treat yourself to a fresh and warm donut, too!
End Up at The Ocean
Heading to the beach might not be the first thing that comes to mind when the fall season hits, but there’s a good reason it should be: The crowds are gone! Visiting the ocean in the fall is a great way to escape the crowds, and the camping couldn’t be better. The days are cool enough for a brisk stroll along the water, and you can head back to your rig in the evening to warm up with a hearty meal while watching the waves roll in. If you’re looking for something a bit out of the norm for the season, but want to enjoy some peace and quiet, head toward the water for some tranquil camping.
Enjoying the Bounty of the Season
Whether it’s a long trip, a weekend getaway, or a special event, there is no ‘wrong’ way to make the most of your rig this season. Fall has so much to offer on its own, so adding even more to those sights and sounds in your RV only makes it better!
We hope this two-blog series has inspired you to keep your rig up and running a bit longer this year, before closing it off for the winter. Make the most of everything it can do for you, all season long.
