To start with, this waste valve prevents unpleasant odors from rising from drains like your sink, as the self-sealing membrane closes as soon as the flow of water stops. This handy waste valve also eliminates the need for a check vent, which also goes by the name of a small air admittance valve. This waste valve helps relieve pressure in the drain system and prevents failure from evaporation or siphonage thanks to the Dry Seal Technology.

It is also built using rigid polypropylene material. This material is well-known for its strength, durability, and resistance to damage.
