History
American Technology Components Inc. was founded in October 1986 and was originally known as Advantz Engineering Corporation. They began their story as a trusted source of 12-volt audio systems and switch panels within the van conversion industry. Eventually, they extended their abilities to create recreational vehicles, truck caps, and specialty vehicle industries. Through the years, customers' supply demands continued to grow, motivating Advantz Engineering Corporation to expand their in-house manufacturing in 1991 to meet those high-quality demands.
In 1995 Advantz Engineering Corporation merged with American Paneltronics, finally becoming the ATC we know and love today. This fast-growing company continued to expand in 1998 when it acquired Inncorp Manufacturing. Inncorp Manufacturing was a leader in the industry for 12-volt and 24-volt lighting and plastic interior components. This acquisition allowed ATC to expand its line of products to the Marine, Heavy Truck/Bus, and Transit markets. Twenty-four years later, in 2019, ATC acquired KIB Electronics and their LePark Mold & Tool.
