Each component is designed with unique features that enhance the performance of the system and the convenience offered to you. For example, the two included batteries are designed with a built-in advanced battery management system and an auto-heating function for cold environments, the PowerInsight monitor displays real-time data with a variety of customizability options, and you can even control the whole system wirelessly using the EcoFlow app.

Apart from the included cables, the power kit features 5 main components: two 5kWh LFP EcoFlow Batteries, a PowerInsight touchscreen monitor, an EcoFlow 30A/50A Distribution Panel, a PowerLink module, and a Gen 2 5kVA EcoFlow Power Hub.

Gen 2 EcoFlow Power Hub

EcoFlow Gen 2 Power Hub The center of the whole power system is the EcoFlow 5kVA Power Hub, which serves as the main power intake and distribution point. This high performance power hub is capable of providing a steady high-powered output of up to 5kVA, reliably handling heavy loads and supplying power to your essential appliances. To put it another way, that’s enough power to run two 13500 BTU rooftop air conditioner units at the same time. It is also remarkably quiet, with noise levels as low as 48dB at 60% inverter load. For comparison, that’s less noise than a quiet office.

This power kit comes with 2 stackable EcoFlow 5kWh Expansion Batteries, giving you a total of 10kWh. However, The EcoFlow 5kVA Power Hub is capable of handling 9 total batteries, which would give you a total of 45kWh, which would keep you powered for up to 7 days. Additional batteries, apart from the two included in this kit, may be purchased separately.

EcoFlow 5kVA Power Hub in Use

The power hub is designed with four ways to charge the batteries, with each individual method able to fully charge a single 5kWh battery in under two hours. The four charging methods include Solar Power, Vehicle Alternator, Shore Power, and Generator Power. These four charging methods may also be used simultaneously, which is capable of fully charging up to 11kWh in just one hour.

The EcoFlow 5kVA Power Hub is designed with a variety of ports, which allow you to connect a variety of different modules and peripherals to the system. There are three PV In / ALT In ports that you can use to connect solar panels or an alternator to the power hub, as well as three battery ports for connecting your batteries or a smart generator. Additionally, there is a main AC input port for connecting to shore power, a 12V/24V DC main output port, and two AC output ports. The two AC output ports are slightly different from each other; one is a 20 amp max AC output port while the other serves as the main AC output port.

The EcoFlow 5kVA Power Hub is also equipped with X-Fusion technology, which is designed to protect your appliances and provide you with reliable power even if you’re connected to a weak or unstable shore power source. The power hub accomplishes this by detecting if the shore power is insufficient and running the hub inverter parallel with the shore power source to make up for the power shortfall.

EcoFlow Distribution Panel

EcoFlow Distribution Panel The power hub is like a heart, moving power to and from various parts of the power system. The EcoFlow 30A/50A Distribution Panel functions like veins, where it takes power pumped from the power hub and distributes it through the connected circuits to your appliances. The distribution panel is designed to make your power management simple and streamline your power distribution, with color-coded AC and DC input connections and AC/DC circuit wire snaps making installation easy. It is capable of accommodating both DC and 30A or 50A power simultaneously, achieving an output of up to 240V when connected to a 50A power source.

There are 12 AC branch circuits in this distribution panel, which can be wired for single-phase only 120V AC loads or wired for both single-phase 120V AC and split-phase 240V AC loads. The distribution panel also features 16 controllable DC circuits, which support both 12V DC and 24V DC outputs. The distribution panel connects to and communicates with the power hub by an EF BUS port, which allows you to use the EcoFlow App or the PowerInsight monitor to remotely control the 16 DC circuits as well as the main AC and DC outputs.

EcoFlow PowerLink

EcoFlow Power Link The EcoFlow PowerLink is like the spine of the EcoFlow Standard Power Kit, feeding data to and from the PowerInsight monitor console and the various power kit modules and other peripherals on your rig. Modules such as the batteries and the distribution panel connect to the power hub, which then connects to the PowerLink, which connects to the PowerInsight console monitor. However, the PowerLink can also be connected to relays and sensors on your rig, such as water tank and temperature sensors.

The PowerLink module gives you centralized control for your vehicle's information, viewable through the PowerInsight monitor. It establishes communication with products/systems using communication protocols like RV-C and NMEA2000 and allows you to monitor additional real-time data such as voltage type, resistance type, and 4-wire RTD temperature sensors, as well as allowing you to take advantage of features such as the auto generator startup.

EcoFlow PowerInsight

If the PowerLink is the spine, then the EcoFlow PowerInsight monitor is the brain. The PowerInsight acts as an all-in-one information dashboard that gives you an incredible level of control over your power system. The monitor features a 10” ten-point multi-touch LCD screen with a resolution of 1280x800, displaying sharp and clear visuals. The PowerInsight allows you to monitor information on your power system in real time, by day, month, or year.

EcoFlow PowerInsight Manager Panel A quick glance of the homepage shows you a variety of general information, such as your total energy consumption, battery levels, and the temperature and humidity via the built-in temperature and humidity sensor. You can also view a large amount of more detailed information using the various widgets on the PowerInsight, such as the remaining charge time of your batteries, a detailed breakdown of your energy usage, your solar power generation, and more.

The EcoFlow PowerInsight is more than just an information hub, it also gives you deeper control over various aspects of your power system. With the PowerInsight, you are able to customize a variety of settings, such as battery storage, charging limits, and even device run times. Using the PowerInsight console monitor even gives you the ability to control individual AC or DC circuits, turning them on or off just by tapping the screen.

Smart Energy Control. Easily controlled via PowerInsight monitor or wirelessly controller via the EcoFlow App

There is a wide variety of EcoFlow and third-party devices and appliances that are compatible with the PowerInsight monitor, which can give you even greater control and convenience. Matter-supported smart devices such as smart plugs, smart thermostats, smart lights, and more can connect to the monitor panel through 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, letting you do things such as control lights, adjust thermostat settings, or turn appliances on or off right from the monitor. However, smart plugs and other such devices are not included with this kit and must be purchased separately.

5kWh Expansion Battery

EcoFlow LFP Expansion BatteryThe last of the main components of the EcoFlow Standard Power Kit are the batteries. This kit includes two EcoFlow 5kWh Expansion Batteries, which adds up to a total of 15kWh. These lithium Iron Phosphate batteries(also known as LFP or LiFePO4 batteries) are also expandable, meaning you can purchase additional batteries to increase your power storage. But, keep in mind that the PowerHub can only handle a maximum of 9 of these batteries, which would still give you a whopping total of 45kWh.

The EcoFlow 5kWh Expansion Batteries are a step above your standard sort of batteries, as they are engineered with several features designed to enhance their lifespan, protect your system, and optimize their performance. One of these features is the integrated Advanced Battery Management System and Advanced Battery Safety Protections, which protect the batteries against over-discharge, over-charge, overload, overcurrent, and short circuits. Another great feature of these batteries is the auto-heating function, which keeps the batteries warm in frigid environments to promote optimal charge and discharge.

Lastly, each battery has an integrated on/off button and LCD digital display, with indicators for low and high temperatures, heating status, charging status, and battery level. Each of these EcoFlow 5kWh Expansion Batteries offers a nominal capacity of 5120Wh (100Ah) and a nominal voltage of 51.2V with a large 3500 cycle life.
