Your RV roof requires yearly maintenance and care. In fact, performing such annual maintenance on your RV roof is vital to its health! Wouldn’t it be nice if you didn’t need to worry about that maintenance? Please take a look at RecPro and our slideout roofing kit for your RV! Our slideout roofing kit gives you 4 feet of PVC roofing that will be ideal for your slideout. Our fabulous slideout roofing kit will provide everything you need to install this product on your roof. Adhesives included with our slideout roofing kit include our RecPro 8010 Water Base Adhesive, our RecPro 1021 Self-Leveling Sealant, and our RecPro 1010 Non-Sag Roof Sealant. The greatest advantage of our RV roofing kit? You will no longer need to concern yourself with yearly maintenance once installed.

PVC roofing remains the preferred roofing material in the RV industry for a variety of reasons. For starters, PVC roofing offers incredible strength and resilience. Our PVC RV roofing material provides superior tensile strength as well as tear-resistant and puncture-resistant properties. In addition to these qualities, our PVC slideout roofing is totally maintenance-free. PVC does not require yearly conditioning, nor does it become damaged from animal fat or droppings, unlike TPO and EPDM. Our PVC slideout roofing can even offer you antimicrobial properties, which fight against mold, mildew, or algae from wet environments.

Additionally, PVC material is more reflective, which will help keep your RV noticeably cooler. Even better, our slideout roofing kit has a market-leading manufacturer 15-year non-prorated warranty. Our PVC roofing can even be installed on a sloped roof, making it a superb selection for your rig.

STRONG BONDING ADHESIVE:

We have specially designed our bonding agent to adhere to porous surfaces strongly. However, our bonding agent will not stick to metal, fiberglass, or other non-porous surfaces. Additionally, you should not use our bonding adhesive to attach rubber to rubber. To remove excess adhesive, wipe away using water and a rag.

*Wrinkles and other surface-level issues are purely cosmetic. These cosmetic issues will not degrade or change the structural effectiveness and reliability of the material*

**TAKE NOTICE** All cuts of our fiberglass/flooring/Superflex/PVC/Roofing materials are taken from a master roll. The ends of your roofing material will have a rough edge and slightly extended length than the purchased cut length. This is to allow the customer to cut the piece to their exact specifications. In other words, customers will make final cuts.

PVC Roofing Maintenance and Cleaning Tips

The PVC roof membrane is designed with a smooth finish that helps reduce the build-up of dirt and debris, while also making it easy to clean.

Once a month, use a broom or brush to sweep dirt and debris, such as leaves and twigs, off of the roof, then rinse using clean water. Sweep and rinse your PVC roof more frequently if you are camping in the fall or in an area with frequently falling leaves to avoid or reduce staining.

Lift and remove large debris such as large sticks or branches as soon as possible. Avoid dragging large debris when removing to avoid scratching, tearing, puncturing, or otherwise damaging the PVC roof.

Periodically wash the PVC roof membrane using only clean water, household soaps such as Dawn dish soap, and a plastic brush or scrubber. For tougher and more stubborn dirt, grime, or stains, use the following recommended cleaners:

  • Fantastick
  • Soft Scrub
  • Windex
  • Tilex
  • Murphy Oil Soap
  • A 50/50 mix of water and white vinegar

Do NOT use a power/pressure washer to clean or rinse the PVC roof membrane. The spray may be too aggressive and could cause tearing or other damage to the membrane. Use only a regular water hose and sprayer to rinse off the roof membrane.

Do NOT use abrasive pads, metal scrubbers or brushes with metal bristles, as they can damage the PVC roof membrane.

Do NOT use any products or cleaners that contain solvents or abrasives. Avoid using petroleum based distillates such as citrus cleaners or mineral spirits, as they can soften the membrane.

It is NOT RECOMMENDED that you clean the roof by taking your RV or trailer through a car wash. Debris and/or rust or other metal fragments from other vehicles can get stuck in the brushes of car wash systems, which could cause damage to the PVC membrane.
